Who doesn’t like a beautiful sunshine and clear water? Or a blue sky and the tranquility of watching the wave go by? Well, Pipa has it all and even more!
Located 85 km south of Natal and 154 Km from João Pessoa, it is a village with small and charming beaches. One of the favorites of Brazilian’s and foreign tourists, everyone looks forward to enjoy their tropical vegetation, cliffs, dunes, lakes, cuisine and nightlife!
I have to confess that I haven’t been to Pipa yet, but I felt in love while writing this post for you! And since I couldn’t do it by my own, I invited my dear friend and specialist in Pipa, Alexander Wasastjerna from the Pipa-Brasil website. He has been working for 8 years with house rental in the region, besides having lived there and having a special affection for the village!
So with this super help, if you haven’t heard of this stunning place before or are in doubt whether you should visit or not this paradise, we’ll give you 10 reasons that will make you want to go there know!
Let’s get to list!
1. Paradise Beaches
Pipa offers beaches for all tastes! Ideal for surfers, Amor Beach and Madeiro Beach are the most wanted. At Cacimbinha Beach, you will also find good waves and people doing kite surfing.
However, for those who don’t surf, there are other options. The Dolphin Bay is a beautiful natural reserve, with a stunning semi-deserted beach. And as it’s name says, you can even be surprised by a dolphin while swimming! It’s that incredible? I would die to have one by my side! Lol
Do you seek for quietness? Close to Pipa, in Tibau do Sul, the Giz Beach was made for you. With it’s natural pools formed during low tide, you will enjoy a quiet day, drinking coconut water and surrounded by nature!
For the more urban ones, the beach in the center of the village called Praia do Centro has the fastest access! Except of the Dolphin Bay, in all the other beaches you will find support services, such as restaurant, restroom and stalls. Not to mention that there are even more beaches you can enjoy a part from these!
Having how to admire some of these beaches from the top will also make you sigh. From the Chapadão cliff, you’ll have a beautiful view to them. Besides of it, you’ll be able to witness the sunrise or sunset from the sea!
With a great climate and average annual temperature of 28ºC, Pipa has more than 300 days of sunshine per year. To those who imagine that this makes it a very warm place, it’s not due to the constant breeze that exists there. Moreover, the most pleasant is the temperature of the sea, which stays 27ºC throughout all year long.
To get to Pipa, just follow the BR-101 road that has been recently duplicated and makes the access faster. The airport is located 91 km away in the city of São Gonçalo do Amarante. The trip from the airport to Pipa can be done by bus, taxi or by renting a car directly at the airport.
