It is said to be one of the favorites of Brazilian’s and foreign tourists. Everyone looks forward in enjoy their tropical vegetation, cliffs, dunes, inglakes, cuisine and nightlife.
I have to confess that I haven’t been to Pipa yet. However, I felt in love while writing this post for you! Since I don’t have the expertise, I invited a specialist in Pipa, Alexander Wasastjerna to collaborate. I would like to let you know that this post is not sponsored. Alexander is a Finn who I had the opportunity in meeting here and has an affection for the village. He has been working online for 8 years with house rental through the Pipa-Brasil and has lived there a few years back.
If you aren’t sure whether you should visit or not this paradise, here are 10 reasons that might help you decide!
1. Paradise Beaches
Pipa offers beaches for all tastes! Ideal for surfers, Amor Beach and Madeiro Beach are the most wanted. At Cacimbinha Beach, you will also find good waves and people enjoying kite surfing.
However, for those who don’t surf, there are other options. Dolphin Bay is a beautiful natural reserve with a stunning semi-deserted beach. Moreover as it’s name says, you can even be surprised by a dolphin while swimming! It’s that incredible? I would die to have one by my side (lol).
Do you seek for quietness? Close to Pipa, in Tibau do Sul, Giz Beach might do it for you. With it’s natural pools formed during low tide you will enjoy a quiet day, drinking coconut water and surrounded by nature.
For the more urban ones the beach in the village centre called Praia do Centro has the fastest access. Except of Dolphin Bay, in all the other beaches you will find support services such as restaurant, restroom and stalls. Not to mention that there are other beaches you can enjoy a part from these.
Having how to admire some of these beaches from the top will also make you sigh. From the Chapadão cliff you will have a beautiful view to many of them. Besides you will be able to witness the sunrise or sunset over the sea.
With a great climate and average annual temperature of 28ºC, Pipa has more than 300 days of sunshine per year. To those who imagine that this makes it a very warm place you will get surprised. It’s not due to the constant breeze that blows regularly. Moreover the most pleasant is the temperature of the sea water which stays around 27ºC throughout all year long.
To get to Pipa just follow the BR-101 road that has been recently duplicated and makes the access faster. The airport is located 91 km away in the city of São Gonçalo do Amarante. The trip from the airport to Pipa can be done by bus, taxi or by renting a car directly at the airport.
