4 Products That Will Keep your Dry Skin Moisturized
My skin has always been very dry, but the type that is extremely dry and gets irritated easily. I always had to apply moisturizers with thicker texture, but it was not always easy to find products that my skin would adapt.
With the humidity of Brazil, my skin wouldn’t get that dry all the time, but here, since we arrived I’ve been suffering with it. So I wanted to share with you 4 products that are saving my life.
Eucerin Concentrated Lotion Extremely Dry Skin
This moisturizer is literally for those who have dry skin. It creates a thick layer that lasts for many hours. Sometimes when I apply it on the hand before sleep, it’s still there when I wash it in the morning. However, it has helped me a lot, as my skin was peeling.
It has two other variations: Light Lotion for Dry Skin and Rich Lotion for Very Dry Skin. I’ve been the moisturizer freak and have one of each (lol). One on my bedside table, one on my dresser and another in the bathroom.
This is a blessing in my life. I use it for almost everything. In the hand, on the face, on the lips. Every night I apply a good coat of it on my mouth. It makes miracles, I swear!
Also the top part of my hand, right between my finger bones, the skin was peeling non-stop. I had a wound already and it would hurt every time I would wash my hands. People told me that it was because the cold burned it and it also gets too dry. Even though I would moisturize it, it wouldn’t be enough as I wash my hand a thousand times during the day. Moreover, the soap helps to make it worst and to leave the skin drier as well. So now, besides my lips, I apply it every night in my hands to help them recover.
I’ve used the ointment and the cream. I particularly prefer the cream because it has a thicker texture. My skin absorbs the ointment very quickly. With this, I have the feeling that it does not have the same effect as the other!
NIVEA Micellar Water for Dry Skin
I have seen several micellar waters around, but I had never seen one specific for dry skin. I was very happy when I found this one in the market. Normally, when I wash my face, after I dry it up it feels very uncomfortable. So I apply the water with a cotton pad and that sensation improves.
When I use the water, I can also let my skin breathe a little before applying the other products because it really feels like it gives a mild moisturizing and refreshes it. It has become one of my must do’s and I use it every day!
LUMENE Vitamin C Dry Skin Cocktail
I was surprised when I first used this vitamin C. For anyone who saw a picture I put on Instagram a while ago, saw that I posted some beauty products a friend gave me. Lumene is a Finnish brand and before these, I never used any of their products. Some people said that it was good, others that it was not so much, but that they had improved in the past years!
As you can see, I have used more than half a bottle and when it’s over, I will definitely look it up to buy another. It is a biphasic oil that actually moisturizes and regenerates the skin. It is suitable for dry skin and is made with a typical orange fruit called Artic Cloudberry. The cloudberry is rich in Tocotrienol, a rare and effective form of vitamin E. In addition, it also has cranberry, vitamin C and other oils such as avocado, jojoba, sea buckthorn and squalane.
What I realized is that as it’s produced here, it’s made for the needs of the people from here. Because everyone suffers from the cold weather and everyone – somehow – suffers from dry skin. So I realized that it is a lot more effective than many other products I’ve used in Brazil.
My skin is not the type of most Brazilians, it’s totally the opposite. In general, people have mixed or oily skin. So it has always been difficult to adapt to the products there. Even with a dermatologist check and I’ve already tested all the ones you can imagine. So finding this one that my skin absorbs well was amazing!
These are some basic products that have been part of my daily life! Most of the products you can find online and the Bepanthol, you’ll get it in any pharmacy. The Lumene Vitamin C, sells in Finland, in the USA and online on Amazon!
I hope they can help you with your dry skin too!
