When I received the invitation to write here, result of the dedication and care of this enlightened person that Lili is, I put my head to work straight away thinking about what I could bring to you. This space deserves something very special!
It didn’t take long to get to this combination: chakras and food!
What they are, where they act and what we can do to keep them balanced are some of the answers I want to share with you.
For those who don’t know, the word ‘chakra’ has its origin in Sanskrit and means ‘wheel of light’. According to the Hindu tradition, the seven major are located along the spine of the human being and follow the colors of the rainbow.
The chakras are energy centers with different vibrations. They represent a number of specific points in our physical, emotional, mental, and energetic bodies, and they maintain a close relationship with human organs and behavior. The seven major chakras have different functions, being responsible for repelling or attracting various vibrations, allowing the communication of the frequencies that move the body.
It is important that all the chakras are interconnected so that the energy circulates freely. When this doesn’t occur, the person tends to feel incapable, unbalanced emotionally and with health problems. Aligning these points stimulates the circulation of energy in the body and provides harmony with the inserted environment.
Among several alternatives to align them, food is one of them. Have you ever thought about it?
Each chakra has its corresponding color. Thus, we can work the energy and nutritional functions of foods according to them. Check it out:
Red color: The foods that help us align it are the ones rich in carotenoids. Some are acerola, cherry, apple, watermelon, strawberry, tomato, etc.
Orange color: The ideal diet to balance it is the ingestion of many liquids, fruits and vegetables. In this, you can eat pumpkin, tangerine, apricot, carrot, papaya, orange.
Chakra Splenic or Solar Plexus
Yellow color: The foods that balance this one are those rich in starches and carbohydrates. As for example we have the potatoes, bananas, pineapple, corn and melon.
Green color: Leaves, vegetables and green fruits, such as lettuce, avocado, kiwi and lemon help us to align this chakra.
Sky blue color: If you eat all sorts of fruit of the most varied colors, you will also be aligning it.
Blue color: The foods responsible for it’s harmony are those rich in vitamin B. Some are raspberry, fig, purple grapes, jabuticaba and blackberry. It is also recommended to take refreshing teas, such as spearmint and peppermint.
Lilac and golden color: We can eat foods that is rich in vitamin B and flavonoids. As an example: cassava, garlic, banana, onion, graviola, pear, red fruits, among others.
