DIY – Easter Decoration
I’m so into Easter lately, that I’ve made a video for you showing how I decorated my front porch. Every time I go to my garden center, I feel like bringing more and more flowers home. I wished I could though, but we don’t have to much space and, a part of that, I’m still learning how to garden in freezing areas! (hehe)
Back in Brazil, we never had this kind of Easter grass. It’s not popular there and to be honest, I have never seen it’s seeds for sale. So I watched some youtube videos in how to plant them and did it a week ago, so they would be grown up for the video of today! =)
I’ve planted them in baskets with plastic cover inside and they didn’t have drainage. However, as I’m using temporary plants, I didn’t worry much. For future plants, I’ll have to make a few holes on it.
For the decoration, I’ve used:
This is just a simple example of what you can do! If you have more space than me, you can even plant them in bigger baskets or larger pots! If you have a garden, you can decorate it straight to the grass or flowerbeds! It will look cute as well!
So lets get to the video and see how the Easter decoration was done!
In the other hand, the basket idea is great to fill them out with goodies for family and friends! You can make smaller version of them! My grass took a week to grow that tall and I kept them inside the house in a warm spot, to accelerate the process. If you manage to start today, water it twice a day, keep it covered with plastic and in a warm area, you might have the grass ready for Sunday! =)
Have you decorated your home for the holiday already?
Hope you got inspired! Let me know at the comments!
