Lili Teaches – How to Use the Finnish Library App
Happy Friday!!! And you know what? There’s a new video live on my Youtube channel!
I really think that the Finnish library system is amazing. You can do everything from home, from their app in your phone and you just have to go to the library to pick up your book or return it! This thing that Finns are very-techies is awesome indeed. They always try to speed up our life, making an app or a website available!
In today’s video, I took a bike ride, stopped by the mall and took the opportunity to show you how the library app works and how simple it is to borrow a book! Besides having a tea and eating a mustikkapulla I L-O-V-E! Do you know what a pulla is? Ah, it’s a delicious sweet bread that you can see it in the video!
Come on and subscribe to the channel so you do not miss a thing! There are lots of other nice videos already and every Friday there’s a fresh one for you!
So don’t miss it, hit play below!
About the things I mention in the video …
The library website in Finland is the Helmet. You will find all the books available in any language as they have many books in different ones. For the mobile phone, Taskukirjasto is the app I teach how to use! In a free translation, tasku means pocket and kirjasto, library. So it is you pocket library!! It can be downloaded on Android, Windows Phone and iOS.
I did another post sharing how the library in general works, how to make your card, if it’s for everyone! It’s a kind of more bureaucratic detail post, I’d say! Check it out! The variety of books available is immense and it’s well worth it to register yourself to use it! =)
So, did you like it? How do the libraries work where you live?
Let me know at the comments! ♥
