Before coming to Finland, as any person moving abroad, we had many questions about everything. Most of the information, not to say almost all of them, we looked them up in the internet. However, we did not find all the answers we needed. Some where vague, others controversial e some we had to reach Finland’s Consulate in São Paulo or to the Embassy in Brasília to confirm!
For this month`s post at the Brazilian platoform, I share the visa types in Finland and explain more about the B type, which is the one we have here. Both of us have the same resident permit type. However, there are some differences in between mine and his. What we need to apply is a bit different and the work permit too.
As most of the posts we found on the internet had more information about the process for the student visa, I preferred to focus on cases like mine as a family tie! My visa could only be issued, because my husband is the main applicant – for our case as we do not have Finnish family – and through his, they allow me here.
In the post I also share the links of everything that is necessary to request the family tie visa and two other posts that can be useful if you are thinking in moving to Finland!
Click in the link below and translate the article if needed. I hope it helps you if you are in the process or willing to come!
