My 10 Favorite Dresses – MET Gala 2017
The MET Gala is one of the most desired events and is a ball that benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York. The ball opens the annual fashion exhibit and always takes place on the first Monday of May. The theme changed every year and for 2017, they honored Rei Kawakubo, a Japanese designer who created the brand Comme des Garçons. The ball bears the same theme and the celebrities abuse of their gowns!
There was a bit of everything. From the craziest outfits to the most classic ones and the ones that I thought kind of too much! However, as the thing is to produce themselves, everything is worth it! I chose some looks that caught my attention. They are models that I find usable for other occasions or that we can get inspire with!
Come and see the ones I chose and hope you enjoy them!
Gisele is Gisele, people! She looks gorgeous wearing anything and she was stunning with this Stella McCartney. The metallic dress with a low back was wonderful! She was elegant and sexy!
For sure this Miu Miu dress was not the most memorable of the night. However, I really liked the romantic and delicate style! It is a dress that – at least for me – you wont get it wrong and you can wear it on several occasions!
Blake is beautiful and will look good with anything she wears too! I believe that of all the models I have chosen, this Versace is the most extravagant! I would prefer it without the feathers, but I do like the embroidery!
Ruby Rose nailed it with this Burberry gown. I loved the ruffled trim, the slender waist cut and the train! The black embroidery gave an extra factor and matched her style!
I loved this Louis Vuitton. Although it probably did’t draw as much attention as several others on the red carpet, it’s a dress for any occasion and that I would really like to have in my wardrobe. I would trade the boot for a scarpin and the big earring for a smaller one to make the outfit more delicate. Anyways, I still loved it!
Frances Bean Cobain
The rounded trim ruffles of this Marc Jacobs dress is similar to Ruby Rose’s dress. I liked that it seems to have a transparency, but it doesn’t! The embroidery is beautiful and the metallic shade too!
Lupita looked stunning with this Prada dress. The vibrant orange color really suit her well!
Diane was beautiful in this Prada. It was embroidered at the front and plain white on the back. Very classy and elegant!
This low-cut beaded H&M gown Stella Maxwell used looked sexy but elegant at the same time.
This Top Shop princess style gown is super classy and she looks beautiful!
As you can see, I prefer the classic and, let say, ‘normal’ dresses! Nothing against the others worn by the celebrities, but these were the ones I liked the most and that I think we can get inspired and use as a reference!
Which ones did you like the most?
