Planting Tulips & Crocus
I have always loved tulips. Actually, they are my favorite flowers and when I saw the gardening shop full of options, I went crazy! I have tried to plant them before, but always in warmer places and in none of them I was successful! But here we have the perfect climate that they like! Ieiii!
I am so excited to see this flowerbed all-colorful in spring! We choose the flowers thinking on their blooming season, because I want to have flowers for many months and not all at once! So, I also decided to plant Crocus, which is a beautiful flower that comes out earlier! If everything goes right, we will already have many flowers in March!!
We planted these flowers:
- 10 Tulip ‘Purple Flag’ bulbs
- 10 Tulip ‘Menton’ bulbs
- 10 Tulip ‘Wildhof’ bulbs
- 9 Tulip ‘Pink Star’ bulbs
- 9 Tulip ‘Foxtrot’ bulbs
- 10 Tulip ‘Mondial’ bulbs
- 25 Tulip ‘Triumph’ Mix bulbs
- 60 Crocus ‘Vernus’ Mix
I can’t wait to see all these bulbs growing! I planted them a while ago, in November and now they’ll turn to dormant bulbs during winter. When the climate warms up, they will start to grow until they reach their blooming season!
The bulb must always have the pointing side facing up and it’s not facing down. With this, they will find their way easier to grow upwards! And don’t forget to water them, even if the soil is frozen. I have watered them once every two weeks.
I’ll love to have you comments letting me know if you liked it! I have a lot to improve still in this video thing. I have to confess that I get very shy doing this, but I’ll get used to it! Haha Leave me any doubts you have as well. If I can help, will be a pleasure!
