Update – Tulips & Crocus First Sprouts
Remember the video I made last November planting tulips and crocus bulb? Well, the good news is that after these long 5 months, sprouts are finally coming out!
This is very exciting! I was soo happy when I saw them this weekend, that I had to make this update for you. If you have not seen the one I am planting them, check it out on this link!
I have never planted bulbs before. I come from a very hot country – Brazil – where this types of plants suffer a lot because of the heat. So they are planted in specific places only. I have planted over 100 bulbs both tulips and crocus, and for now, we only have 6 sprouts! The weather is not helping too. We had very nice spring days last week, but Thursday, we had lot’s of snow. It has melted already, as we are high on the 5ºC, but it’s been foggy and raining!
I really thought I had made something wrong during their dormant period, as nothing would appear and I would see people posting that their’s had leaves already! Ok, these pictures were not from Finland, but I’ve seen the other day at a park a flower bed with a few growing beautifully! So you know, I thought I had killed the bulbs somehow, even though I had followed all the instructions from the thousands of videos I have seen on Youtube (LOL)!
Thanks God there are still there and probably they’re slower because we have not had too much sun lately to warm them more!
So, let’s get to the video! Hope you get excited with my tulips and crocus sprouts too!
Have you planted bulbs last fall too? Let me know at the comments how your’s are going!
If you have any tips as well, they are more than welcome! =)
